2023 Paddle Event
August 24 - after conference close

After learning about efforts happening in the Tennessee River Basin, spend some time exploring it!

Following the closing of the TRBN annual conference, we will be hosting a paddling opportunity on the lower section of the beautiful Cypress Creek in Florence, Alabama. The route will begin at the Cox Creek Bridge Canoe Ramp just below Highway 133, and we will paddle approximately 5 river miles downstream through some of the most pristine river habitats on our way to the takeout at Wildwood Park.

 

TGL Adventures, our official paddle event sponsor, will provide sit-on-top kayaks along with shuttles to and from the meeting venue, and box lunches will be provided by TRBN to enjoy on the ride over or on the river. The trip should take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, depending on “day of” conditions. So bring some liquid hydration and a wanderlust sensation for an afternoon of river life recreation!
